National Associate Membership Application Form

NEW! AVA Centurion Achievement Challenge

You don't have to join a club or an organization to go on any of our walking events - just come to the event, register, and have a great time. Once you have given us a try-out, we invite you to join an AVA Club Membership (Local Membership) and/or become an AVA Volkssports Associate Member (National Membership). Associate Membership is an option, never required.  Membership does not include a New Walkers Packet, sold separately $6.50 per packet (includes $1.50 shipping and handling).  

Family/Friends (same address) and Individual Members receive a 10%, while Lifetime Members receive a 15% discount on most merchandise we sell.  If purchasing a Lifetime Membership, payment can be made in 2 installments and cost is based on your age. Your spouse or friend may be added for a one time fee of $100.00 (same address). Receive the bimonthly newspaper "The American Wanderer" (TAW) with articles on health, walking, and volkssport events throughout the USA. Active volkssporters see their names listed for Individual Achievement Awards. There is a list of AVA clubs and traditional events nationwide. 

AVA Associate Member Discounts:

Holiday and blackout days vary. Therefore discounts may not apply. Check with each Rental Company to be certain the location you contact honors their Company discount with AVA.

New Walker Program
Get started on the right foot! Purchase a new walker packet once you find a club and events near you! Send $6.50 for each packet (includes $1.50 shipping and handling). 

AVA Merchandise
Purchase merchandise at an additional cost and receive a 10% discount for Individual and Family/Friend Memberships on most merchandise items we sell. Lifetime Memberships receive a 15% discount.

AVA Convention registration and events - To be posted to the web site when information is available.
Receive priority mailing on Convention Information and Registration. Discounts apply if you are a Volkssports Associate Member.

If you wish to renew your current Volkssports Associate Membership you may do so by calling our office and speaking with Membership Services or wait until a renewal notice is mailed to you. Questions concerning current or lapsed Volkssports Associate Memberships or any inquiries pertaining to membership records, or awards records in general, send an email to AVAHQ@ava.org  

The American Wanderer newspaper is not forwarded to new addresses because it is mailed Bulk Rate. If you have a Change of Address you may send an email giving your Volkssports Associate Membership number and name, with your new address to AVAHQ@ava.org  If we have an extra copy to forward we will do so, if you request one. Due to cutbacks in the US Postal Service issues of the TAW newspaper are taking much longer for delivery.  Thank you for your understanding.
