8am to 5pm. Park hours may vary. Weather conditions determine the Farragut experience, starting at the Park Visitors Center. The walk is a wilderness scenic trail through meadows, old growth woods, cedar groves,along one of America's beautiful Lakes rated 2C for trail and hills.. Water and restrooms are available at Park Visitors Center and Beaver Bay Swimming area (when open). Advisable to carry water. Walking sticks would be helpful. Not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers.

Start Point / Driving Directions:

Farragut State Park, 13400 E Ranger Road, Athol, ID 83801. Located midway between Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint, ID. From I-90 take Exit Hwy 95 N to Sandpoint. Travel 20 miles to Athol turn right (East) onto Hwy 54 at traffic signal. Travel 4 miles to Park entrance and proceed to Visitors Center and register. pay parking fee . Check with HQ for park hours before June 1 and after September 1.
