Mon-Fri, 6am-10pm; Sat, 8-5; Sun, 1-5. During the months of July, Aug. & Sept., please call to verify Sunday hours. Closed all holidays. Tour Operators please make arrangements with the POC. Pets cannot enter the National Cemetery. ***** The trail consists of two 5K loops. The 5K Confederate Right Flank Trail is an out and back to the extreme right flank of the Confederate Battle Line. The trail passes seven southern state memorials. The 5K Peach Orchard & Wheat Field Trail is a loop that goes past the Peach Orchard and around the Wheat Field. Both 5K trails must be done for 10K credit. The 15K trail goes on the Confederate line on Seminary Ridge, past the Peach Orchard and Wheatfield, on the Union line on Cemetery ridge, through the National Cemetery, site of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, and the South and West areas of Gettysburg. ***** The trails are on paved park roads, road shoulders, and city sidewalks.

909 Fairfield Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325 (717)334-9171. From the square in Gettysburg go south on Baltimore St. (Bus. 15 S., PA 116 W.) 1 block to Middle St. Turn right on Middle St. (PA 116 W.) and go 7/10 mile, passing traffic signals at Washington St., Franklin St., West St., and Confederate Ave./Seminary Ridge. The YWCA driveway is 1/10 mile past Confederate Ave. on the right. After registering for the 5/10 km walk, you must drive about 3 miles to the Longstreet Memorial/ Amphitheater on Confederate Avenue There are port-a-johns and a seasonal water fountain at the Amphitheater. The 15 km walk starts from the YWCA.

The two 5K trails are new for 2013. ***** The 15K trail qualifies for the KSVA Lincoln Highway Program. ***** The 5K Peach Orchard & Wheat Field trail passes an area with the monuments for the Regular Army Regiments. Four of these regiments were assigned to the 1st US Regulars. On July 4, this brigade moved through the Wheat Field and Peach Orchard to the Emmitsburg and established a picket line. Several men were wounded in skirmishes with Confederate pickets. ***** The 5K Confederate Right Flank Trail and the 15K Trail qualify for the Civil War Battlefields Special Program for the Battle of Gettysburg, July 1-3, 1863, **** The National Park Service has scheduled activities commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg for July 1-3, 2013. The battle reenactment is scheduled for July 4-7. Lodging in Gettysburg will be very expensive and scarce during these dates.
