Description:

The route goes thourgh residential neighborhoods, a portion of the old Benicia Arsenal to the Benicia Martiniez Bridge. The 10K route continues on the bridge to the Contra Costa County Line, while the 6K crosses below the bridge. Both routes will include a viewpoint overlooking the Navy "Mothball Fleet".

Start Point / Driving Directions:
|
FROM I-80 or I-680 take I-780 to Benicia. Exit at East 2nd ST (Exit 5). Turn left onto 2nd St. passing McDonalds. Continue on East 2nd crossing Military East. The Senior Center will be on the right. If lot is full there is adequate street parking.

A portion of the walk is on a paved bicycle/pedertrian pathway. Remember to walk facing oncoming traffic. There will be increased noise level on the bridge portion of the 10K walk.
