Description:

Both the long and short routes are on city sidewalks. Both routes are suitable for strollers. Wheelchairs may have difficulty with some curbs, so the shorter trail is recommended for them. The routes go past historic sites including the rebuilt Ft. Vancouver & Officer’s Row, & through Vancouver's Independence Day Celebration. The longer route goes past the historic City Cemetery.

Park is between 6th & 8th Sts. on Columbia St. in downtown Vancouver, WA. North bound on I-5 & West bound on SR 14, exit at City Center (Exit 1B), turn left on 6th St. & proceed west 3 blocks to Columbia St. South bound on I-5, exit at Mill Plain Blvd. (Exit 1C) & proceed west (right) 5 blocks on 15th St. Turn left on Columbia St. & proceed to the park between 8th & 6th Sts. Parking available on the street, or in parking garage at 6th & Columbia Sts.

The walker's start card will allow for passing through the Independence Day Celebration without paying the entry as long as they exit by 1:30. Route will go down Officers' Row, though the historic Vancouver Barracks, by Pearson Air Field, & past historic downtown sites including the Old City Cemetery.
