This walk takes you along city streets through midtown and into downtown Sacramento passing many historic sites, art galleries, and takes you under the majestic old trees for which Sacramento is famous. The longer walk goes through Capitol Park, so while you’re there you can tour the state capitol building.

Mercy Hospital, Greenhouse Cafeteria, 4001 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95819. Eastbound Capital City Freeway (Bus 80) exit N Street and continue ahead onto 30th Street. Go 4 blocks to J Street turn right. Westbound Capital City Freeway (Bus 80) exit J Street and turn left under the freeway. Follow J St. East approximately 10 blocks to Hospital on the left. Parking available on the streets around the hospital (some areas have one or two hour time limit M-F 8am to 6pm) or in the parking garage for a fee.
