California State University, Sacramento, a.k.a. “Sac State” was established in 1947 and is among the largest campuses in the California State University system. This walk explores the lush landscaping of this beautiful 300-acre campus containing over 3,000 trees and a sprinkling of flower gardens. The route includes a pass through the University’s Arboretum and a stretch along the lovely American River Parkway.
