Description:
|
The route is flat and winds tjhrough the St. Mary's University campus past historic landmarks and educational buildings. It then meanders through the surrounding neighborhood on city sidewalks and streets to Woodlawn Park Lake where it returns to the campus. All pets MUST be on a leash and are NOT allowed inside any university buildings. Please "pickup" after your pet along the walk routes. This event also qualifies for the "Walking the Old Spanish Trail" and "35 on 35" Special Events.
A 1km Optional Route will be offered on-campus for extra IVV Credit.

One Camino Santa Maria ST, San Antonio, TX 78228-5433. NOTE: Use Entry Gate on Velasquez DR just past 3141 Culebra RD. NORTHBOUUND on I-10. Take Exit-568B (SPUR TX-421/Culebra AVE). Turn LEFT onto SPUR-421 (Culebra AVE/Culebra RD) and go 1.6 miles. Continue onto Culebra RD for 1.3 miles. The Enrty gate is on the RIGHT.SOUTHBOUBND on I-10. Take Exit-568 (SPUR TX-421/Culebra AVE/Culebra RD). Turn RIGHT onto SPUR TX-421/Culebra AVE/Culebra RD and go 1.5 miles. Continue onto Culebra RD for 1.3 miles. The Entry Gate is on the RIGHT.

NOTE: Because of the 10:00am Starting Time, 7 Registration Stations will be in operation during the first first hour to eliminate/ reduce waiting time to register.
A commemorative cloth patch "A" Award is available that depicts the upper portion of St. Louis Hall, a signature campus building that is listed in the National Registration of Historic Places.
PRE-REGISTRATION ENDS ON SATURDAY/23 JANUARY 2010. Pre-register for awards only and get a $1 discount. FOR STAMP COLLECTORS: The Southwest Region Director's SPECIAL IVV Certification Stamp will be used at this event.
