Description:
|
Daily, dawn to dusk. Vancouver’s Land Bridge routes explore the extensive history of this area. On the 10k route, you will visit Esther Short Park with its monuments, historic theater building, and pass where FDR spoke on 8/21/1920. You will continue past two courthouses where court sessions are still held proceeding to a core area of early buildings, many also on the National Register on your way to the Fort Vancouver Historic Area with the new Land Bridge honoring Lewis & Clark. The shorter route starts and ends with the new Land Bridge as it explores the Fort Vancouver Historic Area. Both routes pass museums, monuments, presidents, rivers, and sites on the National Historic Register. Wheelchairs will have problems with both routes due to lack of sidewalks and presence of gravel. Water and restrooms are at the start/finish and along the trail.
