Description:

Visitor Center open daily, 9am-5pm. Closed New Years, Thanksgiving, and Christmas days. Trail is rated 1, an easy walk on sidewalks and park trails. Suitable for large-wheeled strollers; wheelchairs with difficulty on park trails.
Route takes walkers through Historic Ashland with its serene landscapes, historic architecture and trains that rumble through downtown following the main street. This route also passes through the beautiful campus of Randolph-Macon College. There is an "A" Award for this event which is a 3" x 5" patch depicting a steam locomotive pulling into the Ashland train station. 5K added for 2010.

112 N. Railroad Avenue. Phone: 800-897-1479. Ashland is located approx. 12 miles north of Richmond, Virginia. From Interstate 95 in either direction, take Exit 92 (Ashland). Take Route 54 West (locally named England Street) into Ashland. The Visitors Center is located in the old Ashland Railroad Depot at the intersection of Route 54 (England Street) and Railroad Avenue.
