Description:

Visitor Center is open daily, 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday, and 11am-5pm Sunday. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years day. Trail is considered 2 and is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. Walk features the Rappahannock River, City Dock, Old Mill Park, the canal path along the Snowden Wetlands, and many historic properties and monuments in Fredericksburg. The 2010 walk has been changed to run the reverse direction from the 2009 walk.

706 Caroline Street. Phone: 540-373-1776. From I-95 in either direction, take Exit 130A East. Follow signs for Historic Downtown Fredericksburg along Route 3 East (locally named William Street) to Princess Anne Street. Turn right onto Princess Anne Street and follow to Charlotte Street. Turn left onto Charlotte Street and follow to the Visitor Center (on your left). Free unlimited parking is available in two lots on Sophia St. which is one block from Caroline St. toward the river. Or park in the parking garage on Wolfe St. between Caroline and Sophia Streets. (First 2 hours are free, then $1.00/hr.)
