This walk goes on the Rails-to-Trails route of Lakelands Trail State Park between Stockbridge and Pinckney, MI. There are restrooms at the start, but not on the trail (drive from start to trail), so carry water and wear insect repellant! Trail is wide, mostly level and well-groomed.

From I-96, take M-52 (Exit #122 Webberville) south to Stockbridge. M-52 will jog left and then right at a stop light. Ransom's is about a mile, on the left just before the Ford dealership. From I-94, take M-52 (Exit # 159 Chelsea) north to Stockbridge. M-52 will turn right just south of town. Ransom's will be on the right, just past the Ford dealership. The box will be near the checkout lanes, next to the film drop-off station.
