Description:
|
Oakwoods metropark features wooded nature trails and picturesque view of the Huron River. The Volksmarch is part of the paved hike-bike trail that is in turn part of a 15-mile trail system through Lower Huron, Oakwoods and Willow Metroparks. Additionally, Oakwoods metropark provides horseback riding trails, fishing, canoeing, picnicking, and a nature center that host live turtles and snakes as part of its exhibit. Although the park has an official address in Belleville, a street address in New Boston, the park is actually closest to Flat Rock, which is just on the other side of the Huron River from the Park.
