START TIMES: M-F 10-6, Sat. 10-5 and Sunday 11-5. Holidays 10-4. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Walkers may not start prior to Center’s opening and must be off the trail before closing. Event may be done during daylight hours only. Call ahead if in doubt or in need of clarification on any point in this brochure. Remember the Visitor’s Center staff members are very busy with other clients, please be patient and wait your turn. Any exceptions to the above rules must be approved by the Event Point of Contact.
The trail is over city streets and sidewalks. Wheelchairs and strollers may need to detour around some steps. This trail takes you to the Chicago Loop, Northwestern Univ., Museum of Natural History, Shedd Aquarium, Buckingham Fountain, Navy Pier with it's many restaurants, Museum of Contemporary Art, near the John Hancock building, Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile (a lot of Shopping) and along beautiful Lake Michigan. Along the route, you will cross Route 66 as you go south and near the start point of Route 66 as you go back north. Route 66 began near Jackson and Lake Shore Drive.

77 East Randolph Street (Corner of Michigan and Randolph), Chicago, Illinois. Ph (312)744-2400 M-F. From I90/94, take the I-290 exit (Congress Expressway) Eastbound to Columbus Drive. Go left just past Monroe St. and enter Monroe Street Garage from right lane. Park and exit Garage at Randolph St. exit. Go left to Michigan Avenue and cross to entrance of Cultural Center. From I-55, take Lakeshore Drive North to Monroe. Left on Monroe and then right on Columbus Drive to entrance of garage and then follow above instructions.
