Description:
|
Daily, dawn to dusk. This trail begins at the Historic Boulder Dam Hotel, a center of activity during construction of Boulder Dam, and visited by many celebrities since it has such a colorful history. You will walk thru the downtown district, the original city, the first master planned community in the U.S., and the only city in Nevada that does not permit gambling. Many of the buildings date from the 1930’s and the residences for company engineers are still near original. However, the construction workers cottages on the later part of the walk have been extensively modified. You will pass many quaint restaurants and gift shops along Nevada Way that are well worth your time to visit. There is a museum upstairs that is also worth a visit after your walk and a nice restaurant in the hotel.
