Description: Wed. - Sun 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed Mon & Tues. Call center for hours. If you want to do the walk on a Tuesday or non-holiday Monday call the Center or POC. Route goes through an urban wilderness along the beautiful Sand Creek Regional Greenway, a soft-surface trail that follows a high-plains stream lined with cottonwoods and willows. 10Km walk visits Sand Creek Park with its water features and natural areas. Center staff will share info on botany and wildlife. B Award is a beautiful antique silver finish European-style medal with ribbon from a previous walk at this location. Pets must be leashed. This walk is possible but very hard for wheelchairs.

Start Point / Driving Directions: 16002 E. Smith Rd, Aurora CO 80011 303-739-2428. From I-70: South on Chambers Rd Turn left (east) on Smith Rd to Laredo. Look for the sign for Emil-Lene's Sirloin House at the corner. Right on Laredo and look for the green roof at the bottom of the hill.
