Description: Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. On the “New Mexico Capital Adventure” you will tour the 395-year old “Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asis” (Royal City of the Holy Faith of St. Francis of Assisi), passing through the unique New Mexico State Capital when it is open. Also, you will see numerous other historic sites, including the Bataan Veterans Memorial and Bataan Memorial Building (former State Capital) commemorating the WW-II Bataan Death March; the Cross of the Martyrs, commemorating the Franciscan priests who were killed during the Pueblo Revolt of 1680; the world-famous Canyon Road with its numerous art galleries; St. Francis Cathedral, seat of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe; the Palace of the Governors, the oldest government building in the United States; and San Miguel Chapel, the oldest church in the United States.

Start Point / Driving Directions: 491 Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa Fe, NM 87501. Phone: 505-827-7336. FROM I-25: Exit 282, then go North on St. Francis DR (US-84/275) to the 7th traffic light. Turn right on Cerrillos RD and go to the 2nd traffic light. Go right on Paseo de Peralta to the 3rd traffic light and turn left on Old Santa Fe Trail. Go ½ block and turn right into the Visitor Center parking lot. FROM US-84/285 SOUTH: Proceed past NM-599 (Santa Fe Bypass/Veterans’ Memorial Highway), then take next left onto Guadalupe ST. Go to the 7th traffic light, crossing Paseo de Peralta once and turn left on Paseo de Peralta (it makes a big loop around downtown). Go to the 4th traffic light and turn left on Old Santa Fe Trail. Drive ½ block and turn right into the Visitor Center parking lot.
