Description: CHANGE IN HOURS: Dawn to Dusk on weekends. After 2:00 pm weekdays starting July 20, 2009 because of logging to remove diseased trees. The trail is on country lanes, old logging roads, paths and a short section of the Old Fort Chamber Road, now overgrown. All trails are in the woods on natural surface. A memorial bench in memory of Jean Gibbs, past President of the Piedmont Pacers and Secretary of the Maryland Volkssport Association, has been placed across from the nature center at the pond that borders Mt. Hope Road.

From the North, East, and West - take your best route to Gettysburg, PA and take PA 116 southwest for 7.6 miles. Turn a hard right onto Carroll's Tract Road just before the Post Office. Go a half mile, to Mt. Hope Road on the left (Bull Frog Road on right). Turn left on Mt. Hope Road, go 3 miles to Strawberry Hill Nature Center on the left.
From the South - take your best route to Westminster or Emmitsburg, MD and travel northwest on MD 140. When the road crosses the Mason Dixon line it becomes PA 16 and turn right on PA 116, towards Fairfield, PA. Go through Fairfield and immediately past the Post Office bear left on Carroll's Tract Road. Go one half mile to Mt. Hope Road on the left (Bull Frog Road on right). Turn left on Mt. Hope Road, go 3 miles to Strawberry Hill Nature Center on the left.
START BOX is located at the pink house across the road from the Nature Center next to the basement level entrance.
