Description: Mon-Fri, 8AM-5PM; Welcome Center may be closed Sat & Sun., Thanksgiving & Christmas. If Bethea Center is closed go beck to Hwy 19, turn right, and go a very short distance to Bojangles Restaurant on left. (This is the alternate Start Point). Trail follows through attractive residential areas, a scenic lake path with mountain vistas, the Rose Walk and along Nature Trail.

Location: Bethea Welcome Center
Start Point / Driving Directions: 91 N Lakeshore Dr. 828-452-2881. FROM ASHEVILLE: I-40 West. Right exit 27, (Waynesville, Hwy 19-23-74). Right exit 103, (Hwy 19). Pass lake, quickly turn right at Main Gate entrance to Lake Junaluska Assembly (stone gateway). Proceen on N.Lake Shore Dr. very short distance to Bethea Welcome Center on left. FROM TENNESSEE: I-40 East. Right on exit 20, (Maggie Valley Hwy 276). Left on Hwy 19-276 through traffic light (2.4 mi). Just past Granny's Chicken Palace, turn left on N Lake Shore Dr. (see above). Alternative Start Box at Bojangles, just out side of Lake Junaluska entrance on left side of Highway 19.
