Description: The trail is on paved and grass covered surfaces with minor inclines. It also follows a picturesque footpath along the Wissahickon Creek. One of the highlights is the Hawk Observation Deck where you can observe 16 species of raptors that migrate on the East Coast.

Start Point / Driving Directions: The Start Point is best reached from Joshua Rd. and not the park's main entrance nor the official address which is the park office. For GPS purposes, use 6036 Joshua Rd., Fort Washington, PA. From the PA Turnpike I-276, take Exit 339 for Philadelphia/Ambler. Go through the tollbooth and past the PA-309 S ramp. Continue straight onto Pennsylvania Ave. Drive 0.7 miles and turn left on Bethlehem Pike Turn right on Skippack Pike/PA-73 (MaGerks Pub is on the corner). After a short distance, go past the main entrance to the park then continue 0.25 miles to the light at Joshua Rd. and turn left. Cross Militia Hill Rd., then continue 0.25 miles to the entrance for Militia Hill Day Area (brown sign) and turn left. A quick right at the triangle folllowing the sign for Lot #1. Pavilion will be on the left. Also look for LBW road signs posted along the way.

Comments: This event includes the Liberty Bell Wanderers annual picnic. This year's picnic is a special celebration marking our 35th anniversary. All participants and/or family members and guests are invited to help celebrate this special occasion. The club will provide food and refreshments.
