Description: Most of the route will wind through residential and city areas of New Braunfels. Short stretches of unpaved road shoulder make the route unsuitable for wheel chairs and strollers. Both the 5K and 10K routes will cross the historic Faust Street Pedestrian Bridge.

Start Point / Driving Directions: Church Hill School is across from Conservation Plaza, 1300 Church Hill Dr. New Braunfels TX 78130. From I-35, take exit 189 for TX 46 and Loop 337. Turn West. The First cross street is Business 35 (Valero Gas Station on NW Corner). Just past and beside the Valero, turn right. If you go over the railroad overpass, you have missed the turn.

Comments: This walk on May 4 and 5 is the 6th annual event in honor of World Walk Day which is May 7 each year. Walks are held by International Volkssport Federation (IVV) associated clubs worldwide and have a special stamp and certificate for walkers who attend World Walking Day events in May. The IVV is the world's largest organization of walking clubs. Each club hosts non-competitive walking events that are open to the public, to promote fun, fitness, and friendship.
