Description: This is a loop HIKE in the Olympic National Park and starts approximately 15 miles West of Port Angeles. Enjoy the forests and side trip to Goblinís Gate, a narrow passage that the Elwha River passes through. Continue on to Humeís Ranch, an early settlement (look online for addl info). The 6k will peel off at this point looping back passing another settlement, Michaelís Cabin before returning to the trailhead. The 13k continues past Humeís Ranch down into the valley where you can see evidence of where the local elk herd rests for the evening. Continue on to a bridge that crosses the Elwha with magnificent views of the river cutting through the valley. Make a loop returning to the trailhead.
