Location: Motel 6
Start Point / Driving Directions: 2369 S Roosevelt. Hwy 101 to Seaside. Register at Motel 6, which is adjacent to Bigfoot Pub and Grub, just S of traffic light on Hwy 101/Roosevelt at Ave U. File cabinet containing registration materials is in the Conference Room adjacent to the motel lobby.

Comments: You will walk the entire length of the "Prom"(enade), passing the Seaside Aquarium and a statue of Lewis & Clark at "The Turnaround" and on the boardwalk beside the Necanicum River. Visit site of the Lewis & Clark Saltworks. Route passes the new city library, the firehouse, city hall (site of the former railroad depot), and the Seaside Historical Society Museum (Butterfield Cottage). Visible as you walk south, Tillamook Rock Lighthouse, located off of Tillamook Head, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You will also pass the William & Nellie Fullum House at 781 S. Prom and the Haller-Black House at 841 S. Prom, both of which are listed also. Scenic walk through a coastal beach resort. Mostly flat route on sidewalks, except for a short path over soft sand to view Necanicum River estuary and a short stretch along an ocean beach dune path.
