Description: The 6km (3C) goes through Pine Springs Canyon and the ruins of an old stagecoach station. The 14km (4D) climbs 3500 ft to the summit of Guadalupe Peak, the highest point in Texas (8749 ft.) Elk and big horn sheep may be seen. The 19km (3D) is through foothills with views of salt flats to the west.

Comments: Hiking trails always open. Visitors Center closed Christmas Day. Hiking fee is $5 for 7 days. Free to pass holders but must register at trailhead. Always carry plenty of water. Water and restrooms at visitor center and campground only.
