Description: Christmas in Elizabethtown walk. The 5K route will take the walker through downtown Elizabethtown with its Christmas decorations, around the Elizabethtown College campus, including a pond with rural scenery, and then along neighborhood streets to enjoy home decorations. The 10K adds a trek to the lovely Masonic Village utilizing the new Elizabethtown pedestrian path and footbridge.

Location: GEARS Community Center, 70 S. Poplar Street, Elizabethtown, PA
Start Point / Driving Directions: 70 S. Poplar Street, Elizabethtown, PA. From Lancaster and points east: Take Rt.283 West to Elizabethtown. Take the PA-743 exit and turn left on 743. Continue on State Hwy 743 S. Turn left on S. Market St. Right on W. High Street. Left on Peace Alley. The GEARS & Senior Center will be on your right.

From the Harrisburg and points west: Take 283 East to the PA-743 exit and turn right on 743. Follow above directions to GEARS.

From York: Take 30 from York east across the Susquehannah River. Take the first exit after the bridge, PA 441. Go RIGHT at the stop sign at Lindon St, and RIGHT again on N 3rd (it becomes PA-441). Turn right on PA-743/Maytown Rd. Follow Maytown Rd to Elizabethtown. Turn LEFT on S. Market St. Left on Union St. Right on S. Poplar St. Left on E. Park St. to the GEARS Community Center.

PARKING: There is a lot at GEARS. If that fills up, there is street parking all around the center.

Comments: There is a restroom at the start/finish and a restroom available on campus along the route. Water and candy will be at the checkpoint on the 10 and 5K. On Main Street you can get something to eat or drink. There are various restaurants and a brewery.
