Description: The 11K course provides samples of what Rockport offers residents and visitors. It begins and ends on the "Tule Hike & Bike Trail" within a Texas Coastal Live Oak Forest bordering a coastal wetland called "Tule Lake". Walkers will also enjoy the Rockport Downtown Heritage District, the downtown shopping district, Rockport Harbor, Texas Maritime Museum, Rockport Beach Park and various other historical sites. The 6K course stays primarily within city parks on cement and asphalt surfaces.

Start Times: Daily: Dawn to 3 hours before dusk
Location: The Lighthouse Inn on Aransas Bay. Due to damage from Hurricane Harvey, this walk is CLOSED until further notice.
Start Point / Driving Directions: 200 S Fulton Beach, 78382. From Corpus Christi on US-181 N, over Harbor Bridge. US-181 N turns to TX-35 N. Continue TX-35 N to FM 3036. Turn right on FM 3036. Go through traffic light to Fulton Beach. Turn right, at Lighthouse Inn 3 blocks on left-Bayside. Register at Inn, drive short distance to start of trail. Directions are on trail directions.
Awards & Fees: IVV Credit Only
Comments: Deer are abundant, particularly in the early morning and evening hours. The new Aransas County History Center is located a block from the trail and is open Friday and Saturday. The Rockport Aquarium, the Bay Education Center with its "Science on a Sphere", Rockport Center for the Arts, and various other sites will also tempt you away from the course as views of Little Bay and Aransas Bay approach as the course turns north on the return to the finish.
