AM and 1 PM. All walkers must be finished by 4 PM.

Procedure
|
AVA policy requires that
every participant, fee or non-fee, sign the insurance waiver and obtain a numbered
start card which is stamped at control points along the course. At the
finish, the validated card is turned in and IVV books are stamped for
official credit, if the credit fee has been paid. The trail may be walked a
second time on the same day using the same start card at no additional
cost.

Eligibility
|
Everyone is welcome to
participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Walk at
your own pace.
|

Trail Description
|
Both trails are primarily
on hard surface sidewalks and neighborhood streets with one trail having
numerous small hills. The sidewalks do not all contain curb cuts and would
be very difficult for strollers or wheelchairs to navigate. Short trails
are available for each event. REMEMBER this is February
and sidewalks may be icy or snow covered depending on recent weather.

There will be no special
award for this event.

Fees and Credits
|
This event is FREE to
those who wish to participate without AVA/IVV credit. Credit is $3.00
|

Conditions
|
The event will be held
regardless of the weather. No refunds. Pets must be on a leash at all
times and are not permitted in any buildings. Please clean up after
your pet.

Refreshments
|
Water and hard candy will
be available at the Start/Finish and all Check Points. A refreshment stand
is located in the lobby of the Ice Arena.

DIRECTIONS
|
FROM
PHILADELPHIA:
Take the PA Turnpike (I-76) West to Exit 21 (Reading Exit). Follow US-222
South to Lancaster, where you will take US-30 West towards York. Before
entering York, turn left onto North Hills Road and continue about ¾ mile.
Follow signs to I-83 South. Take I-83 South to Exit 18 (Mount Rose Avenue).
Turn right onto PA-124 West. At the 4th traffic light keep going straight
as PA-124 ends and Prospect Street begins. Turn left onto Vander Avenue
(5th street on the left). Rink is on left at the end of Vander Avenue. Parking is free.
FROM
HARRISBURG (North):
Take I-83 South to Exit 18 (Mount Rose Avenue). Continue as above.
FROM
LANCASTER (East):
Take Route 30 West to I-83 South. Take I-83 South to Exit 18 (Mount Rose
Avenue). Continue as above.
FROM
MARYLAND (South):
Rt. I-83 North to South Queen St (Exit 16). Go North on South Queen Street.
At the 3rd light, turn right on Rathton Rd. Go 2 blocks and turn left on
Edgar St. Go to first STOP sign and turn right on Rockdale Ave. Rink is one
block on left.
