The Visitors Center is open daily, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Call (845) 938-2638 for information. You will need to drive 9 miles to the start point of the Cornwall walk after you register. Driving directions are with the trail instructions.

WATER & RESTROOMS:are available at the USMA Visitors Center. Restrooms are also available at the checkpoint of the Cornwall walk, the Museum of the Hudson Highlands, which is open 12:00 Noon - 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday, Closed Monday. Water should be carried for the Cornwall Walk.

DIRECTIONS:

• FROM THE NEW YORK CITY AREA: I-87 and I-287 to Tappan Zee Bridge and I-87 (New York State Thruway). Over bridge, take exit 13N onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway heading north. Continue on the Parkway as below.

• FROM NEW JERSEY: Garden State Parkway north to the end and follow signs for the New York State Thruway (I-87) east. Exit Thruway at exit 13N onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway heading north Follow signs for Route 9W north (3d exit off traffic circle). Exit 9W via West Point-Highland Falls exit (NY rt. 218) Follow signs to Visitors Center.

• FROM THE NORTH: NY State Thruway to Exit 17 Newburgh. I-84 East to exit 10S. 9W South. Follow signs to Visitors Center.

• FROM SOUTHERN TIER NEW YORK, SCRANTON, PA., AND CONNECTICUT: I-84 to Exit 10S. 9W South over Storm King Mountain. Follow signs to Visitors Center.
