Our second year, September 2003

Only about 150 walkers from the United States and Germany participated due to Hurricane Isabella striking the city two days prior.  The first Mount Vernon to Capitol Hill Marathon was flooded out.  The Office of the Surgeon General of the US became a partner and that changed the medal name.  The German Embassy was the first embassy to participate as a partner.  Media
