Welcome to
Franconia
State Park, Lincoln,
New
Hampshire
10k
trail includes the spectacular Flume Gorge for which an admission is
charged by
the Park; this part of the route is 3.2k and is rated 3,
passing two covered
bridges, splendid waterfalls, and interesting rock formations.
The way is steep
and not recommended in wet weather. A free bus is available which
shortens the
ascent and distance.
Leaving the Visitor Center, the route takes a paved
recreational trail (rating 2, strollers possible and pets permitted) to
another
waterfall and back.
Some alternate trails may be added for additional distance.
There are two 5k options; one sees all the highlights but requires
driving to a
second trailhead.
Another requires no admission charge, but does not qualify
for all special events.
There is much to do in the Park and surrounding area.
