Due to recent changes to the FTP server, it may be required
to re-input your username and password and in some cases verify
it with
Linda@ava.org.
Because some ftp clients interact differently than others,
there are different things to check as a first step in gaining write
access to your hosted site.
Connecting to AVA's FTP server using Windows 7:
Navigate in Windows Explorer to your club site using
ftp://www.ava.org
and select your club folder.
Once within your club folder, right click an empty area and select
the Login As.. option. A Log On As.. dialog will appear.
Enter your previously provided user name and password.
Drag and drop updated web content to the folder.
Connecting to AVA's FTP server using CuteFTP 8.3:
The root (starting point) for the FTP server has changed relative
to the AVA website. This causes some ftp clients (CuteFTP for example)
to return errors if a sub folder like /clubs/ava-0000 is specified.
If this is the case for you, removing the /clubs portion
should resolve the issue.
Sample Error:

To create a new link
Click the Site Manager button on the toolbar.

Click the File Menu.
Click New
Input the site settings below changing your username and folder name accordingly.
 
To modify an existing link
Click the Site Manager button on the toolbar.

In the Site Pane (right hand side) Right click the site link you wish
to modify and select Properties.

Adjust your site settings to reflect the updated path (removing the /clubs
on the Actions tab.
 
This page will be updated as other FTP clients are tested. If you continue

Please be prepared to provide:
- The version of Windows, MacOS, or Linux you are using.
- The Name and Version of the FTP client software you use to connect.
- If you do not use an ftp client, please indicate the method you use to connect.
- The error or nature of the error you are receiving.
