Roadrunner Achievement Program

One of the added benefits of being a club member is you have the option of earning additional club patches which can be displayed on your jacket.

Distance Patches

The first type is awarded for the completion of kilometers by either walking, running or biking. You can claim credit for all kilometers that you travel during the course of your day. The requirements are: (1) the distance is traveled under your own power outdoors and (2) you record the distances on a club Kilometer Log. These logs can be turned in to the Membership or Achievement Director and you will receive the patches for the distances walked. Patches are awarded as follows:
Pentagonal 125 / 250 / 500 / 750 / 1,000 / 1,500 / 2,000 / 2,500 / 3,000 / 3,500 / 4,000 / 5,000
Rectangular 6500 / 8000 / 9500 / 10,000 / 12,500 / 15,000 / 20,000 / 22,500 / 25,000

Service Patches

The second type is awarded for special accomplishments as follows:
*Service:* Nominated by any member for special service to the club or volksmarching, approved by President and/or Executive Board.
*Volunteer:* Participate as a worker/volunteer for a Roadrunner IVV-sponsored event. Nominated by Event Director or President.
*Turkey Trot:* Participate as a worker/volunteer for the annual Roadrunner Turkey Trot IVV-sponsored event. Nominated by Event Director.
*Special Event Volunteer:* Participate as a worker/volunteer for a non-IVV sponsored event (i.e. Global). Nominated by Event Director.
*Special Achievement:* Nominated by any member for service to the club or volksmarching above and beyond that encompassed in the Service patch, approved by President and/or Executive Board.
*Meritorious Service:* Awarded for truly meritorious service to the club or volksmarching in general. Nominated by any member, approved by President and/or Executive Board.
*Freundschaft:* Participation in activities supporting German-American friendship (example - a worker/volunteer for a German club’s IVV event). Nominated by President.
*Club Officer:* Serve a minimum of six (6) months in a position as a Club Officer. Nominated by President. Includes Members-at-large and Executive Board.
Director: Serve a minimum of six (6) months in a position as Club Director. Nominated by President.
*Bike Volunteer:* Awarded for service in support of an IVV-sponsored bike event. Nominated by Event Director or President.
*Volksschwimmen Volunteer:* Awarded for service in support of an IVV-sponsored swim event. Nominated by Event Director or President.
