CURT MYRON

AVA President

 

 

Curt is a retired federal manager (Department of Housing and Urban Development) with service in Washington , D.C. and Oklahoma City , Oklahoma . He supervised oversight of numerous federal housing programs, designed and delivered training courses. Since retirement, Curt has served on the Board of Commissioners of his county’s housing authority, and conducted workshops in values, risk assessment and personal responsibility for Navy sailors.

Curt and his wife, Martha, live on Whidbey Island , Washington and enjoy designing trails, organizing events and motivating club members to support volkssporting. They enjoy travel and combine volkswalks with every vacation. Curt and Martha are members of the NW Tulip Trekkers Volkssport Club, the Bavarian Volkssport Association, founding members of the Sound Stepper Volkssport Club, all in Washington State , and the West Texas Trail Walkers.

VOLKSSPORTING BACKGROUND:

Curt began volkssporting in July 1986 and has logged over 1,100 events and 12,700 kilometers, walked in 47 of the 50 states, and in 22 countries. Curt has represented AVA at international meetings since 2005, including the IVV Olympiad and national conventions of both the US and Canada . Curt is an AVA LIFE Member.
