Start Point Address: Central YMCA, 401 Atkinson Drive, Honolulu HI. Directions: From Waikiki take Ala Moana Blvd. (west) to the intersection of Ala Moana & Atkinson Drive, turn right onto Atkinson Drive. The YMCA is across from Ala Moana Shopping Center. If you are traveling east on Ala Moana pass Ala Moana Shopping Center and turn left onto Atkinson Drive.

Event Description: This walk has three 5KM sections that join to pass through four Waterfront Parks and a Marina. There are exceptional views of Honolulu and the ocean along level and mostly wide walkways. 10KM is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.

Event Description: This walk takes you into Diamond Head Crater, where there is a small fee. The walk includes a 0.7 mile trail to the summit of Diamond Head for a breath taking panoramic view. For this view you must climb a 99 step staircase, walk thru a long tunnel and up a spiral staircase inside a bunker to the lookout. It's worth every step.

Start Point Address: New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, 2863 Kalakaua Ave. DIRECTIONS: The hotel is located on the Diamond Head (east) end of Kalakaua Avenue, the Primary street running through Waikiki. It is across the street from Kapiolani Park, next to San Souci Beach and the Waikiki War Memorial Natatorium. TheBUS Routes #2 and 14. Street parking is available.
Event Description: You will be walking up Diamond Head Road, past the lighthouse, where you will have a great view of the ocean & surfers, and continue on through the upscale Kahala residential neighborhood with many new mansions among the older beach homes of yester year. Many interesting gardens are along this walk.

DIRECTIONS: From H-1 take Exit #24B (same exit # going east or west); proceed toward the mountains on University Ave. At the intersection of University Ave., Oahu Ave. & East Manoa Road turn right onto East Manoa Road, proceed to Manoa Market Place Shopping Center; it will be on right. The McDonalds is on the left of the parking lot.

Start Point Address: Castle Medical Center, 640 Ulukahiki Street, Kailua, Oahu. DIRECTIONS: From Waikiki take H-1West to exit 21B enter Pali Hwy (61) to Windward Oahu. At the intersection of Pali Hwy and Kalanianaole Hwy turn left onto Ulukahiki Street. Castle Medical Center is on your left. From West Oahu take H-1 East to exit 21A enter Pali Hwy (61) to Windward Oahu. At the intersection of Pali Hwy and Kalanianaole Hwy turn left onto Ulukahiki Street. Castle Medical Center is on your left. Take Bus #56 or 57 from Ala Moana Shopping Center or from Alakea Street in Downtown Honolulu, they stop right across the street from Castle Medical Center. The start box is located on the counter, beside the information desk, in the main hospital loby.

Event Description: Rated 1. This walk is on the windward side of Oahu. The walk starts at Castle Medical Center, goes through residential neighborhoods, beside Ulu Po Heiau and Kawainui Marsh Regional Park, through Kailua Town to Kailua Beach, with the world title of Best Beach, and up to the scenic lookout at Aala Point, where you might see some turtles swimming.

Mililani, Oahu - 10 KM Walk; Trail Rating: 2

Start Point Address: McDonalds at Mililani Mauka, 95-1860 Mehehula Parkway, Mililani, Hawaii 96789. DIRECTIONS: From Honolulu, take H-1 West to H-2 (North Shore/Wahiawa), exit Mililani Mauka onto Meheula Parkway. McDonalds will be on your left. Parking is limited at McDonalds. So please register and move your car to street parking.

Event Description: Rated 2 because of the gradual uphill. The route takes you to one of Oahu's fastest growing neighborhoods, past the beautiful American classic homes and secluded Mililani Ravine Park.

Start Point Address: Laie Inn, 55-109 Laniloa, Laie Oahu. DIRECTIONS: from Waikiki. Take H-1 (west) to H-2 (north shore) to Kamehameha Hwy (83) to Laie,. From Windward Oahu take Kamehameha Hwy (83) to Laie. The Laie Inn is next to the Polynesian Culture Center.

Event Description: DRESS CODE: Shorts must be at least knee length. A route is also available without the beach walk and stairs for wheel chairs and strollers. You will see many beautiful sights, a spectacular ocean view lookout, the famous Hukilau Beach, the landscaped boulevard of the architecturaly renown Morman Temple, through gardens to a gazebo with breathtaking 360 view, and the Brigham Young University, Hawaii Campus.

Kailua-Kona, Big Island 10 KM
Start Point Address: Kona Seaside Hotel, 76-5636 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona, Big Island. DIRECTIONS: From Keaahole International Airport, exit to Queen Kaahamanu Hwy going south, continue to Palani Rd. (190), right onto Palani Rd. to the intersection of Kuakini Hwy, the Kona Seaside Hotel is on the left just past the intersection. If the hotel lot is full go to the free public parking lot.
Event Description: The beginning and end of the walk includes Kailua-Kona town's historical sites. 8 Km of the walk is out and back on a busy road with no sidewalks, shade or views. It is not appropriate for wheelchairs, strollers or people with walking, sight or hearing impairments due to the traffic.

Volcano, Big Island 12 KM, Trail Rating: 3

Start Point Address: Volcano Art Center, in Volcanoes National Park. On the Big Island, CAUTION! Due to the presence of volcanic fumes, people with breathing conditions should not do this walk. DIRECTIONS: From Hilo, take Hawaii Belt Road (HI-11 SW) and follow the signs to Volcanoes National Park (about 30 miles/ 45 minutes). From Kailua-Kona, take Hawaii Belt Road (H-11 SE) and follow the signs to the Volcanoes National Park (about 95 miles/2 1/2 hours). The Volcano Art Center is located next door to the Kilauea Visitors Center, (there is a very informative movie and lots of information about the volcano at the Visitor Center).
Event Description: The trail passes through two craters, a lava field, a lava tube and a beautiful rainforest. Part of the trail is rocky with some steep up and down hill climbs. The park is at 4,000 foot elevation. Due to volcanic fumes, people with breathing conditions should be careful. There is a entrance fee of $10 per car into the Volcanoes National Park; the fee is good for 10 days.
