The "Walk Washington" program starts with the All Club Events booklet.
You will complete one event (walk, bike or other) for each of the 25
qualifying Washington clubs. To qualify, a club must sponsor at least
one seasonal or year-round event. The All Club Events program runs 2008
through 2010.
The Walk Washington four-theme booklets consists of Art, Landscape,
Towns and Parks. Each booklet will allow you to collect stamps from
events in four categories. The first booklet, Art, contains the
categories Art Shows/Galleries, Statues, Fountain/Artwork and Murals.
You must do seven events that relate to each category and obtain stamps
from each event to fill up your booklet. A completed booklet entitles
you to a 5"x5" full-color patch in jewel tones. Earn all four patches to
make a set of four!
RULES
You may count any event that has an official AVA stamp. You must pay for
credit and fill out a start card. In order for a walk to qualify for a
category (such as Art Galleries) the sponsoring club must designate the
event for that category in the Pathfinder, in their brochure, website,
or at the event. A given event may only be stamped under one category, even if it is designated for several. If it is a YRE or seasonal and you
re-walk the event in a different period (once with and without the +
sign), you may use the stamp for another category.
