TRAIL HIGHLIGHTS: The walk crosses the Arrigoni Bridge, which spans the Connecticut River between Portland and Middletown. At 3,428’ this is the longest bridge in Connecticut. Built in 1938, it won first prize in the AISC large bridge category. The trail includes the beautiful Wesleyan University campus

START POINT LOCATION & HOURS: DUNKIN' DONUTS, 152 Main St., Portland. Tel.: (860) 342-1490. Hours: daily, dawn to dusk. Water and snacks available.
DIRECTIONS:
- From I-91 North or South: take Rte. 9 south to Middletown. Turn right at the light under the bridge that crosses the river. Cross the bridge to Portland. Dunkin' Donuts will be on your immediate left after crossing the bridge.
