About
the Walk:
The
paved trail takes the walker around a scenic lake while winding through
wooded areas. The walker, at different
season, might spot wild turkey or deer.
Also to see a nineteenth century church and school. While not on the trail, the historic mill
and Watkins home are well worth visiting.

9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Saturday
10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sunday
Direction
to the Walk:
From
I-35 (North or South) exit at Highway 92 at Kearney. Travel East on Highway 92 to County Road
RA (about six miles). Turn left on
RA and process to the Watkins Mill State Park. Travel on the park road following the
signs to the Visitor’s Center. When
you reach a T, you will see a sign pointing to the Visitor’s Center. Turn left at the T and drive to the
Visitor’s Center. After the
registering, you will need to drive to the start point.
