About the walk
There is a lot
of construction in the downtown area at this time, so it is recommended
that you do the alternate walk (the River walk).
The 10 Kilometer course will wind from Quality
Hill past numerous scenic and historical buildings and sections of
downtown, the River
Quay and the North End. When we suggest that you walk on a specific
side of the street it is for wheel chair access. Dogs are welcome, but
must be kept leashed and under control at all times. Restrooms and
drinking
water will be available at the start/finish point. |

Directions to the Walk
Our starting point is the information desk at the
Quality
Hill YMCA, 1051 Washington St.. Take either I-35 or I-70 to the
Broadway
Exit. From I-35, turn South on Broadway. From I-70, turn North on
Broadway. From Broadway, turn West onto 10th Street, go one block to
Washington. Parking is available at 9th and Washington. The YMCA is
located at 1051 Washington, on the East side of the street. |
