Wednesday Walkers

    Wednesday Walkers:
The Clay-Platte Trackers of Kansas City, an AVA walking club, sponsor walks each Wednesday.  This group of dedicated walkers walks an area YRE each Wednesday.  Many of us meet at Metro North to car pool to the YRE.  We invite all walkers to join us.  We usually eat lunch at an area restaurant.  This schedule is due to change due to weather or the whim of the scheduler; so call or E-mail Barb Buehrer or Phyllis Gall.  When the weather becomes warmer, we will walk earlier; thus we will not eat lunch.

Barb Buehrer:  (816) 734-7192 or Buehrer100@aol.com
Phyllis Gall:  (816) 468-6012 or pegall@planetkc.com

Wednesday Walks Schedule -
All are welcome to join the Clay-Platte Trackers in walking Wednesday mornings.  Below is a schedule of walks for October, November and December, 2007, which is subject to change due to weather, etc.  I have tried to schedule one farther away once in a while for variety.  We will be starting at 8:30 AM now that the weather has cooled off.  Check e-mails for time or call me.

If you have suggestions for favorite walks, let me know or if you have questions, call Phyllis Gall @ 816-468-6012 or e-mail pegall@planetkc.com.  Also, let me know if you would like to be added or deleted from my weekly e-mail reminder.

A GREAT big thank you to the 15 walkers that joined me on Sunday to walk the Riverfront Heritage Trail, in downtown Kansas City.   The sun was out and I think that everyone had a good time.   I was a little bit sore the next day, so guess that means that I need to walk more….

This weekend walk is the Topeka YRE Birthday walk, hopefully the weather will be good and everyone can make it down there.   I understand that there will be birthday cake and soup after the walk.  For member who have walked it in the past, I am told that it’s a nice walk.

See the schedule below for upcoming walks.

If you are interested in going to Des Monies, let me know I have a list going and carpool can probably be figured out.

Missy

Hi

We have been having somewhere between 14-17 walkers on Wednesday which is great.

I believe that I was the last one to fall, and fortunately, nothing was hurt but my dignity.
Anyway, several people have mentioned to me that we need emergency information.
We would like all of us to carry some emergency information: the name and telephone number of who we should call in an emergency.
Most of us carry a fanny pack. Would you please carry this information in your fanny pack.
Thanks for your help.
