Trail: A walk through the University of Alabama campus, historic downtown and old residential neighborhoods. A portion is on the Black Warrior River. Civil War history is apparent. The Trail is on concrete and asphalt.

Civil War : University's President's Mansion was saved from burning in 1865 by the president's wife, Louisa Garland, one of only 4 buildings not burned by the Union Army,
Railroad Heritage Walk Program: Depot and M&O Railroad trestle,
RiverWalk: Black Warrior River,
Spirit of Walking Cemetery Stroll : Evergreen Cemetery,
Walking Courthouse in the USA Special Program : Tuscaloosa County Courthouse and a US District Courthouse,
and Walk the USA, A-Z Program : the letter "T".
Hours: Daily, dawn to dusk.
Distance: Choice of 5k and 11 km trails
Rating: 1+ (easy), but not suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. It is advisable to carry water during the hot summer months.

From I-20/50: Take exit #73. Go west on Hwy. 82
(McFarland Blvd.). Take the University Blvd. exit and turn
right. Turn left on Paul W. Bryant Dr. Hotel is on the right.
