Trail: A walk through this picturesque small Alabama town with historic homes and churches. Walk through a 50-acre park with waterfall and "Tingles," humorous carvings in trees by a local artist. Stroll through Montevallo University with buildings dating from 1820s and 1850s through to the present day. Terrific antique shops on route. The trail is on asphalt, concrete, stone paths and streets.

American Authors & Literary Landmarks: past the home of Phillip Carleton Williams, president of the University of Montevallo, who wrote the novel "Daviejay"
Civil War : Montevallo was taken by Union forces in March, 1865. When the city was captured, many Confederate supplies were burned and hundreds of Confederate troops were taken prison.
College Walk: University of Montevallo,
Spirit of Walking Cemetery Stroll : King Family Cemetery,
and Walk the USA, A-Z Program : the letter "M".

Distance: Choice of 5km and 10 km trails

Hours Monday to Wednesday - 6:30 am to 10 pm.
Thursday and Friday - 6:30 am to midnight.
Saturday - 7 am to 10 pm.

Directions to start location:
From the north, traveling South on I-65, take Exit # 238 and turn Right on US Hwy 31 North. Left on AL Hwy 119 South. Go approx 10 mi to traffic light where cross street is Nabors to the right and Overland to the left. Continue straight for just under 1/2 mi. Start Point is on left - white building w/metal roof, just past Hardees
From the south, traveling North on I-65, take Exit # 228. Left on AL Hwy 25 South & follow it thru Calera. Right on Hwy 155 North. Right on Hwy 119 North. Start Point is on right - white building w/metal roof, just before Hardees.
