Start:
There will be a common Start Point in the Conference Room of the North Park Inn and Suites,
571 North Park Drive, Thomasville, AL. Call to reserve a room with two double beds at
the special rate of $69.00 by December 31, 2008. The phone number is 334-636-0202.
Just tell them you are with the Capital City Wanderers walking group.
The conference room will be open from 8 AM – 5 PM on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Walkers
will pick up all walk directions, driving directions, Start Cards and maps at this Start
Point. All Start Cards must be returned.
Volkswalks will be in parks and/or in small towns. Distances are either 10 KM or 11 KM
with 5 KM or 6 KM alternates. Special programs will include Railroad Heritage, Riverwalk
America, State Park, Courthouse, Firehouse and Historic Churches.

Directions to North Park Inn, Thomasville, AL: From Tuscaloosa, AL take I-20W/I-59S to exit 40. Turn left on AL Hwy 14. As it turns, STAY on AL 14 for approx. 4 miles, then take a slight right on US Hwy 43/AL 13. Go approx. 24 miles, then turn left to follow 43S/13S for approx. 44 more miles to Thomasville.
