Location: Chumstick Grange Hall, 621 Front St., Leavenworth

Directions: From West: Take I-90 East to Cle Elum, follow signs for Highway 97 to Highway 2 - Left on 2 to Leavenworth.

From East: Take Highway I-90 past Ellensburg and then follow Highway 97 signs to Blewett Pass Summit - Left at Hwy #2 to Leavenworth.

SNOWSHOE and WALK

Start Point: Chumstick Grange Hall

Start time 8 am to 1 pm

Finish time: 3 pm

Distance 6K Snowshoe 5K walk

Snowshoe Rated: 1 (Alt. 5k walk rated 1)

You will snowshoe at the Ski Hill beside the XC ski Trail. Enjoy views of the forest floor and the mountains and hill sides. Not suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Restrooms and water are at start/finish and bring your own water for the trail. Lunch from 12:00 – 1:00, will be available for those attending the 1:00 pm ESVA meeting.

Bavarian IceFest

The Bavarian IceFest has been held every January since 1983. Chase those winter blues with fun activities, i.e., smooshing, snow sculpturing, ice cube scramble, dog sled pulling competition and much more. Most activities take place on Front Street at the Gazebo with Jeff Renner of KING-5 at MC. Stay the weekend and enjoy spectacular fireworks over Blackbird Island on Sunday evening.

Hey! Since you have rented your skis and/or snowshoes, take advantage of our BVA seasonal 12K Ski and 6K Snowshoe at the Icicle Trail Head. Start Point is at the Best Western west of town; ask for box at reception desk.
