TRAIL DESCRIPTION |
A moderate walk with some difficult terrain, one or two substantial hills. The trail encounters several prairie dog towns, traverses Lookout Point and follows a valley between high cliffs, with a rolling stream. The trial follows pre-existing park trails that are well marked. There are several creek crossings that have park maintained foot bridges. Hikers are encouraged to carry an ample supply of water. Also weather can cause a change in trail rating by as much as 1-2 points. |

DIRECTIONS |
From Hot Springs take Hwy 385 north to the Wind Cave National Park. From Custer take Hwy 385 south to Pringle and then on into the Wind Cave National Park. Once inside the Park, go to the Visitor Center. The registration box is located at the Black Hills Park & Forest Association Book Store inside the Visitor Center. |
