TRAIL DESCRIPTION

Trail winds through Pactola Recreation Trails and crosses the stream several times west of Silver City.

EVENT INFORMATION

This is the day that the community has their Pie and Ice Cream Social. This one is a must for the walker - the scenery is beautiful and the food is scrumptious. Proceeds from the food goes to the local fire department so it's a great event for all. 

DIRECTIONS

From Rapid City take Hwy 44 west to US 385.  Turn right onto 385 to Whispering Pines Campground.  Turn left on County Road T299 five miles to Silver City.

IVV RECORD BOOKS

Event and distance books will be available for purchase for $5.00 each at the Start/Finish.  This event counts towards the acquisition of IVV achievement awards.  New walker program packets will also be available for $5.00 each.

WATER

Available at Start/Finish. Carrying water is highly recommended.

FOOD

Light lunch will be available along with the Silver City Pie & Ice Cream Social. 

PETS

Pets must be leashed.  Please be prepared to clean up after your pet.
