TRAIL DESCRIPTION

The walk begins at the Englewood Trailhead of the George S. Mickleson Trail.  Once at the Trailhead, the walk goes north toward the Sugar Loaf Trailhead for 3.1 miles and returns to the Englewood Trailhead. Heavily wooded walk with views of old mine.

Rises to 5620' during the walk.

DIRECTIONS

9 miles south of Deadwood, HWY 385 and Nemo Road intersection.
From Deadwood go south on Hwy 385 for 9 miles. The Store will be at the intersection of Nemo Road and Brownsville Road.  From the Boondocks Store, use the Brownsville Road (gravel). Go west on the Brownsville Road for six miles.

Event and distance books will be available for purchase for $5.00 each at the Start/Finish.  This event counts towards the acquisition of IVV achievement awards.  New walker program packets will also be available for $5.00 each.
