TRAIL DESCRIPTION |
This walk is on the Centennial Trail. Walkers will walk from the visitor center to the summit of Bear Butte. This will be a 1,000 ft. rise in elevation offering a panoramic four state view. It is 1.85 miles to Bear Butte Peak on a trail of packed soil, solid and loose rock, and steps and switchbacks. Pets are not allowed on this portion of the walk. After returning to the visitor center, walkers will hike on trails to Bear Butte Lake. Carrying water is highly recommended. |
