TRAIL DESCRIPTION

Trail is over city sidewalks and paved bike paths. Suitable for strollers.

EVENT INFORMATION

Rapid City has a great bike path that wanders along Rapid Creek through beautiful parks. The Alex Johnson Hotel was in the movie "North by Northwest".
This is the 21th year for this walk!

DIRECTIONS

From I-90 Exit #57 at Rapid City drive south to the 3rd stop light at St. Joseph Street.  Turn east (left) and drive to the intersection of 6th & St. Joseph Street, Alex Johnson Hotel will be on the northwest corner of 6th and St. Joseph in downtown Rapid City.

IVV RECORD BOOKS

Event and distance books will be available for purchase for $5.00 each at the Start/Finish.  This event counts towards the acquisition of IVV achievement awards.  New walker program packets will also be available for $5.00 each.

WATER

Carrying water is recommended.  Bottled water can be purchased at Check points; water fountain available at Start Point

FOOD

Numerous sit-down and fast food restaurants available in Rapid City.

PETS

Pets must be leased per City Ordinance.  Please be prepared to clean up after your pet.  Pets are not allowed inside the Start Point or Check Points.

RESTROOMS

Restrooms are available at the Alex Johnson and Check points.
