Convention Walks


 

DOWNTOWN FORT WORTH
The 10k walk wanders through historic and architecturally rich Downtown Fort Worth and includes a portion of trail along the Trinity River.
Special Programs:   Courthouses, Railroad Heritage, River Walk, Artistic Heritage, Museum Walks, Historic Churches, College Campus, Firehouses


DOWNTOWN DALLAS
The 10k route takes walkers along street level, above ground and below ground ‘trails’ as the walk route does its best to escape the elements and move about Downtown Dallas – skyscraper to skyscraper.  Due to steps and stairways on the 10k route, the 5k route will be a street level walk and visit downtown’s outdoor sculptures.
Special Programs: Artistic Heritage, Courthouses, Railroad Heritage


UPTOWN DALLAS
Both routes visit Uptown’s historic cemeteries, the State Thomas neighborhood, and McKinney Avenue area.  The 11k also includes the KATY Trail, Reverchon Park, Turtle Creek and the West Village.

WHITE ROCK LAKE - DALLAS
5 km and 10km routes visit the north end of White Rock Lake Park, the most visited park in Dallas for walkers, runners, cyclists, sailors, and their pets.  10km and 16km walkers will pass the Bath House Cultural Center home to the White Rock Lake Museum and a theater.   The Civilian Conservation Corps Company 2896 built many of the structures at the lake between 1935 and 1942.  The 16km route takes walkers around the lake.

GALATYN PARK – RICHARDSON
President’s Walk – 5k and 10k walk routes visit the nature areas located on the north side of the Convention Hotel and the 10km will also pass through the office park near the hotel.
