Minutes of the Volkssport Club of West Point

Volkssport Club of West Point met for a pre-walk breakfast at Park Restaurant, Highland Falls, NY, on 12 November 2006.   There were six members present. President, Joan Kimmel, was absent.

• Treasurer, Andrew Schmidt, presented a spread sheet which reflected the attendance and revenues of all of our walks. This was a comparison of present and previous years. The number of walkers is down from previous years. This goes along with a trend among volkssport clubs nationwide.

• Our club balance at the end of October was $1517.82.  Luddy Harrison has agreed to do our annual audit. Andrew will also prepare the paperwork for the revalidation of the club at USMA.

• Six members have indicated they will be attending the AVA convention in California.

• Club walking dates for 2007 need to be completed.

• The holiday luncheon will be on Sunday, 10 December at the West Point Club. We will meet at noon for buffet brunch. The cost is $20.95.

• The meeting adjourned to register for the Cornwall walk. Six additional walkers joined us at the registration point.
